Fishing Trip Descriptions

 

½ Day – Rhode Island South Shore

6 AM – 10 AM or 12 Noon – 4 PM

A four hour, dock to dock, trip consists of fishing waters adjacent to Rhode Island’s south shore.  This large area offers some of the best inshore fishing along the east coast and considered by many anglers to be the best striped bass fishing area in the world! This trip can focus entirely on either striped bass, bluefish, bottom fishing or a combination of the three. Bottom fishing offers black sea bass, fluke, tautog, and scup.

 

½ Day – From Block Island or Newport

7 AM – 11 AM or 12 Noon – 4 PM  

A four hour, dock to dock, trip consists of fishing anywhere from the waters adjacent to Block Island or Newport to waters 5-10 nautical miles north, south, east or west of Block Island or Newport.  This large area offers some of the best inshore fishing along the east coast and considered by many anglers to be the best striped bass fishing area in the world! This trip can focus entirely on either striped bass, bluefish, bottom fishing or a combination of the three. Bottom fishing offers black sea bass, fluke, tautog, and scup. Occasionally these fishing grounds will offer shots at school bluefin tuna and bonito, however book an offshore trip if you are primarily interested in catching tuna.

 

Twilight Striped Bass Fishing 3 PM – 8 PM

A five hour, dock to dock, trip focuses on fishing live eels for monster striped bass along the ledges and drop offs of Block Island waters.

 

Night Striped Bass, Block Island North Rip 6 PM – 11 PM

A five hour, dock to dock, trip focuses on fishing live eels at night for monster striped bass along the ledges and drop offs of Block Island waters.

 

¾ Day Inshore/Block Island Area Trip 6 AM – 12 PM

A six hour, dock to dock, trip consists of fishing anywhere from the waters adjacent to Block Island to waters 5-10 nautical miles north, south, east or west of Block Island. This large area offers some of the best inshore fishing along the east coast and considered by many anglers to be the best striped bass fishing area in the world! This trip can focus entirely on either striped bass, bluefish, bottom fishing or a combination of the three. Bottom fishing offers black sea bass, fluke, tautog, and scup. Occasionally these fishing grounds will offer shots at school bluefin tuna and bonito, however book an offshore trip if you are primarily interested in catching tuna.

 

Full Day Inshore/Block Island Area Trip 6 AM – 2 PM

An eight hour, dock to dock, trip consists of fishing anywhere from the waters adjacent to Block Island to waters 5-10 nautical miles north, south, east or west of Block Island. This large area offers some of the best inshore fishing along the east coast and considered by many anglers to be the best striped bass fishing area in the world! This trip can focus entirely on either striped bass, bluefish, bottom fishing or a combination of the three. Bottom fishing offers black sea bass, fluke, tautog, and scup. Occasionally these fishing grounds will offer shots at school bluefin tuna and bonito, however book an offshore trip if you are primarily interested in catching tuna.

 

Full Day Offshore 6 AM – 4 PM

A ten hour, dock to dock, trip consists of fishing for bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, albacore tuna, bonito, as well as several species of shark. Depending on where the fish are, these trips may require a boat ride ranging between 15 and 30 nautical miles from the dock.

 

Extended Day Offshore 5 AM – 5 PM or 6 AM – 6 PM

A 12 hour, dock to dock, trip is required when tuna and/or shark are concentrated beyond 30 nautical miles of the dock. The cost and duration of this trip is a result of the extra bait and fuel required for such an adventure.
