Captain Ken Court

aptain Ken Court began fishing in the mid 1950’s on his father’s outboard skiff. Narragansett Bay served as his training area fishing for scup, sea bass, bluefish, striped bass and tautog. Having owned three boats through the 1960’s and 1970’s, Ken obtained his captains’ license in 1981 and began fishing Rhode Island’s coastal waters. Captain Ken presently holds a USCG 100 ton masters license and concentrates his fishing efforts in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island and Block Island Sounds, as well as the ocean waters south of Rhode Island.

The captain, a retired school teacher, feels that his vessel is an extension of his class room. He enjoys teaching new anglers the basics of fishing and showing experienced anglers a new trick or two they can add to their tackle box.
